The Obsession Starts

I never kept a journal.

Now I am moving into year 2 in our marriage. It was a few months after Daniel got home from his 6 month deployment. We started thinking more & more about having a baby.

I bought our first & only baby name book.

We quickly found names we really wanted for our children. Soon after we went on a vacation up to Moose Head Lake in Maine. A bunch of family were heading up to the lodge there to be together.

As we were driving around Moose Head we found a couple of roads that were named the same names we picked out. I really wish I had started a journal or diary at this point because year number 2 is hard for me to remember much of.

I just know that was when the dire desire for baby kicked in and the monthly buying of pregnancy tests and one BFN after the other. I guess we should have been alarmed but from things I read, a doctor would have just told us to try at least for one year since we were still so young.

Then of course all the thoughts about maybe we were trying to hard and getting stressed out about it, that we just needed to relax and it would happen, that’s always how it works…right.
